Lernhilfe

Lernhilfe courses offer students from polytechnic/technical secondary schools (PTS/FMS) and learners from the Educational Institute for Elementary Education of the City of Vienna (BAfEP 21) lessons in German as a second language, German as educational language, mathematics, English and literacy.

Lessons for students with non-regular school status take place (integrative) during school hours, those for students with regular school status take place in addition to the lessons (additive) in the afternoon. BAfEP 21 learners have the opportunity to take part in online courses.

The course content is based on the specific needs of the participants after consultation with the school's teachers.

The aim of Lernhilfe is to improve school performance and (for non-regular students) to change from non-regular to regular school status. The Lernhilfe enables learners to achieve educational qualifications and prevents educational dropouts.
