StartWien Hub

The new innovative pilot project StartWien Hub, which supports families in the context of family reunification through targeted measures, will soon be launched.

Our offer supports newly arrived family members of refugees in Vienna in finding their way in society, achieving independence and actively participating in social life.

Over a period of six months, participants will be supported by various educational and advisory services that will enable them to arrive in a targeted and resource-efficient manner.

The project is modular in structure and the individual offers are coordinated in such a way that the target group receives holistic support after their arrival in Vienna.

The focus of the modules is:

  • Literacy and German courses with childcare
    • free language courses (Alpha to A1) with 10-15 people
    • Childcare with a focus on early childhood language development
  • Case- and process-oriented counseling and social work support
  • information, discussion and meeting opportunities
  • Networking with and use of existing offers of the City of Vienna

The StartWien Hub thus creates a stable foundation for the arrival of newly immigrated families in Vienna.
