Movement connects – the Käfig Champs sports festival at Leipziger Platz
On 2 October 2025, Leipziger Platz – just a few steps from the StartWien Hub away – a stage for movement. Curiosity, energy, and joie de vivre converged at the Käfig Champs sports festival. Under the guidance of dedicated clubs, visitors could try out various sports for free: table tennis, handball, yoga – and even small circus tricks.
With enthusiasm and open smiles, our course participants tried out the various activities on offer – and discovered some hidden talents, such as juggling. Movement, they discovered, can not only strengthen but also unite.
Together with our social counseling service, we immediately took the first steps to connect interested women with suitable sports opportunities in Vienna – because those who enjoy exercise should also have the opportunity to continue.
A big thank you goes to the GB Stadtteilbüro für die Bezirke 1, 2 und 20 for the invitation and the wonderful opportunity to get education, health and community moving.
