First course graduation ceremony at the StartWien Hub
A successful milestone in our project StartWien Hub: The ceremonial closing event of the first four morning courses took place on June 20th!
For six months, the focus for the participants was on intensive German lessons, social counseling and accompanying childcare with early childhood language support.
Not only did they improve their German language skills, but they also gained practical insights into important topics such as health, family life, democracy, and the Austrian education system. They also gained confidence in dealing with authorities and in supporting their children in their daily lives.
For many, the opportunity to reflect on personal goals and develop new perspectives for themselves and their families was particularly valuable – supported by the dedicated team of social counselors, course leaders and childcare workers.
We warmly congratulate on completing the course, wishing them all much success for the future!

One year of StartWien Hub: Integration work of tomorrow

Successful skills assessment: 23 young people start the compulsory school leaving certificate course
Tomorrow is Human Rights Day. Education is a human right, and young people in the Interface Wien project Basisbildung are demonstrating what becomes possible when this right is put into practice. For 24 young people and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24, it was an important step: they took the skills assessment – a written test in German, mathematics, and English that qualifies them for entry into the compulsory school leaving certificate course.
