StartWien College – Visitors from Wroclaw and Katowice

On September 23, 2025, the StartWien College on Davidgasse welcomed a special visitor: a ten-person delegation from Poland, organized by UNICEF Poland, stopped in Vienna as part of a study trip. Among the participants were representatives from the cities of Wroclaw and Katowice.

Both cities have welcomed a similar number of young people from Ukraine as Vienna in recent years. This has made interest in learning about proven approaches and successful educational models in Vienna all the greater.

Our company and school contact, Ines Hofbauer-Sreedhar, and project manager Barbara Peschke introduced the StartWien College project to the group, provided insights into the Austrian education system, and reported on their experiences with immigrant young people.

The guests learned not only facts, but also the “secrets” of the successful project – impulses and ideas that should bear fruit for the benefit of young refugees in Poland in the future.
