Registration for Sommercollege starts
Summer is coming! And to coincide with the summer temperatures, registration is now open for our new free Sommercollege courses for all newly arrived secondary school students!
As part of the project Jugendcollege StartWien, the Sommercollege offers Viennese secondary school students (15-25 years old & no more than 5-6 years in Austria) the opportunity to improve their German for school during the summer holidays in 2 course groups ("Early Bird": 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & "Late Riser": 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.) between July 29 and August 14, 2024. In addition to dealing with school text types, reading and writing, the program also focuses on enjoying the language and making new friends.

A visit with a special mission – police as guests at the StartWien Hub
On October 28, 2025, the StartWien Hub received a very special visit: A real police officer stood at the door – this time not on duty, but in the spirit of dialogue, trust and clarification.

Movement connects – the Käfig Champs sports festival at Leipziger Platz
On October 2, 2025, Leipziger Platz—just a few steps from the StartWien Hub—became a stage for movement. Curiosity, energy, and joie de vivre converged at the Käfig Champs sports festival. Under the guidance of dedicated clubs, visitors could try out various sports for free: table tennis, handball, yoga—and even small circus tricks.
A successful parents' evening at the StartWien Hub
On September 30, 2025, the StartWien Hub opened its doors for a special evening: Numerous parents of our children accepted the invitation and filled the room with interest, curiosity, and valuable exchange.
