Visit to StartWien College: Focusing on tomorrow's skilled workers

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Vienna's Deputy Mayor Bettina Emmerling and Theodora Manolakos, Head of City of Vienna – Integration and Diversity in the StartWien College  .

The young participants guided the tour of the StartWien College themselves, offering insights into their journeys, goals, and future plans. In doing so, it became clear what the programme is all about: catching up and moving ahead.

The project closes a critical gap in the education system by serving as a structured bridge between prior educational experience and entry into school, apprenticeships, or vocational training. Through its all-in-one approach, it integrates language acquisition, orientation, practical experience, and placement into a clear fast track into the education system.

The impact is measurable: 96% of participants who are ready for placement successfully transition into further education or training.
