Look into our projects: Tree (piece) felled in Pappenheimgasse!

Wide eyes and falling branches accompanied the tree cutting on Wednesday in front of the door of the childcare center of our project StartWien Hub in Pappenheimgasse. Childcare workers and children were invited by the workers to watch the tree trimming—a special experience for the children!

After the work was done, the workers handed out a branch and some cut-to-size tree slices to our children as a farewell gift. The childcare was already busy working on exciting craft ideas!

Successful skills assessment: 23 young people start the compulsory school leaving certificate course

Tomorrow is Human Rights Day. Education is a human right, and young people in the Interface Wien project Basisbildung are demonstrating what becomes possible when this right is put into practice. For 24 young people and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24, it was an important step: they took the skills assessment – a written test in German, mathematics, and English that qualifies them for entry into the compulsory school leaving certificate course.

New information group “Working in Austria”: Startbegleitung responds to current developments

On November 18th, Interface Wiens Startbegleitung launched the new information group "Working in Austria" for the first time.
The reason for this is highly topical: With the changes to minimum income support passed in Vienna on November 19, which will come into effect on January 1, 2026, those granted subsidiary protection will lose their entitlement to minimum income support. This decision significantly worsens the social situation of many affected individuals and makes rapid entry into the labor market a crucial necessity.
