Erasmus+ in Timișoara: Digital and playful learning
As part of the Erasmus+ mobility „Engage Digitally, Learn Playfully“ seven staff members from Interface Wien, representing various projects, travelled to Timișoara (Romania) in the first week of March. Together with partner organisations from several European countries, they exchanged ideas and experiences on how digital tools, artificial intelligence and playful learning methods to better support young people in their learning.
What was particularly impressive was that Youth Center FITT, where the activities took place: Under one roof, it unites artistic and cultural offerings, digital learning spaces, a school for Ukrainian children, and diverse social programs for disadvantaged youth – awarded the European Quality Label for Youth Centres.
The event not only provided an opportunity to exchange experiences but also to test concrete applications: interactive online tools, film and image-based materials, and AI-supported tasks, for example, for creative writing or language development. Local, specialized organizations from the games and film sectors were also present, demonstrating how video and computer games as well as film education can be creatively integrated into work with young people.
Back home the key findings were integrated into our daily work: The insights were presented to the teams working with young people, and relevant links and materials are available to all employees. This ensures that mobility remains not just an inspiring journey, but also has a sustainable impact sustainable in courses and projects.
