Future jobs? Multilingual! Future Fit Festival at StartWien College
As part of the Future Fit Festivals 2025 a multilingual information day about future jobs took place in our project StartWien College on April 25th.
Interested young people were offered the opportunity to gain valuable insights into exciting and promising career fields such as green jobs, nursing and social work, IT, and more, free of charge, in their native language. Offered was information in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Arabic, Macedonian, Ukrainian, Russian, English, and Hungarian.
The event attracted significant interest and lively participation: over 30 young people followed the social and career counselors from StartWien College into the exciting world of future-oriented careers – with a particular focus on the fields of nursing, IT (e.g., system administrator), and green jobs (e.g., solar technology), which can be pursued as apprenticeships after completing compulsory schooling. Presentations, playful elements, and personal discussions helped the young participants gain new inspiration for their own professional futures, alongside practical tips and information. And while technical terms were translated and explained by the interpreters on hand, they even had the opportunity to further improve their German skills!
