A successful parents' evening at the StartWien Hub
On 30 September 2025, the StartWien Hub opened its doors for a special evening: Numerous parents of the children we look after accepted the invitation and filled the room with interest, curiosity and valuable exchange.
We provided insight into our daily work—talking about initial welcome rituals, the gentle settling-in phase, creative activities, and small and large learning moments that shape the children's everyday lives. A matter close to our hearts in StartWien Hub is early childhood language development: With shining eyes, the children show what they have already learned – first words and sentences in German, new ways of expression, growing understanding.
The open dialogue with the parents was particularly touching. They shared their experiences, wishes, and suggestions about the progress they were observing at home. This togetherness strengthens us and makes it clear: education and development are most successful when we all pull together.
We thank all parents for their openness, trust, and time – and look forward to continuing to accompany the children on their journey and celebrating many small and large learning steps together.

On November 18th, Interface Wiens Startbegleitung launched the new information group "Working in Austria" for the first time.
The reason for this is highly topical: With the changes to minimum income support passed in Vienna on November 19, which will come into effect on January 1, 2026, those granted subsidiary protection will lose their entitlement to minimum income support. This decision significantly worsens the social situation of many affected individuals and makes rapid entry into the labor market a crucial necessity.
