Registration starts for WienerSommerLernen 2025!
The changeable April is coming to an end – and we are finally starting into the hot season: On April 29 Registration for the free learning and language support program for students in the City of Vienna under the initiative WienerSommerLernen started – and thus also for our project Wiener Sommerdeutschkurse!
Wiener Sommerdeutschkurse are a free offer from the City of Vienna for non-regular students from elementary schools, middle schools, the AHS lower level as well as polytechnic or technical middle schools in the summer months of July and August. From 2025, school newcomers will also be able to take part for the first time. These are children who are required to attend school from the autumn and will be attending a primary school in Vienna.
“The Vienna Summer German Courses offer a targeted learning opportunity for non-regular students, enabling them to quickly acquire the language of instruction and facilitate the transition to regular classes. For the first time this year, school beginners will also benefit from these courses and get off to a good start in school life. The courses have established themselves as a key tool for the City of Vienna to promote fair educational opportunities and overcome language barriers.”, explains our Managing Director Dr.in Lejla Sirbubalo.

During the visit of Deputy Mayor Bettina Emmerling and the head of the Department for Integration and Diversity of the City of Vienna, Theodora Manolakos, this all-in-one approach became immediately tangible.
