Hip hip hooray – it’s finally here: our Annual Report 2023! Full of information, stories, facts and photos of our great projects – and yet a little slimmer than in previous years – our new annual report invites employees, sponsors, supporters and interested parties alike to read and browse.
Behind the success figures 33,107, 14,990 and 33,084 are not only many individual stories and exciting offers and projects, but above all a lot of commitment and passion from our employees!

Successful skills assessment: 23 young people start the compulsory school leaving certificate course
Tomorrow is Human Rights Day. Education is a human right, and young people in the Interface Wien project Basisbildung are demonstrating what becomes possible when this right is put into practice. For 24 young people and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24, it was an important step: they took the skills assessment – a written test in German, mathematics, and English that qualifies them for entry into the compulsory school leaving certificate course.

A day full of feedback – basic education is taking a break
On November 12th, the Basic Education project, with around fifty employees, gathered for its annual team retreat – and chose a place that seemed perfectly suited for meeting and reflection: Miller-Aichholz Castle in the Europahaus, nestled in the quiet, late autumn landscape.

New information group “Working in Austria”: Startbegleitung responds to current developments
On November 18th, Interface Wiens Startbegleitung launched the new information group "Working in Austria" for the first time.
The reason for this is highly topical: With the changes to minimum income support passed in Vienna on November 19, which will come into effect on January 1, 2026, those granted subsidiary protection will lose their entitlement to minimum income support. This decision significantly worsens the social situation of many affected individuals and makes rapid entry into the labor market a crucial necessity.
